Former LSU sprinter Esther Jones burst onto the scene in Baton Rouge at a dominant time for Tigers track and field, and her presence from 1988-91 only fueled that supremacy.

Jones garnered a school-record 21 All-American honors and propelled LSU to six NCAA indoor/outdoor championships during her career. Jones was an integral face during an 18-year period during which the Tigers accrued 24 NCAA titles from 1987-2004.
