Sprinter Gary Finegan suspended pending an investigation into alleged false identity scam

SPRINTER Gary Finegan has been suspended from all competition pending an investigation into an alleged false identity scam that threatened to compromise Glenelg's Bay Sheffield foot race.

The New South Wales Athletic League is to determine whether Bay Sheffield favourite Finegan raced in Friday's ACT Summer Series in Canberra under a false name.
