[Women's Cross Country] OLLU cross-country women finish third in UIW Fall InvitationalPublished by
LIVE OAK, TEXAS (Oct. 10, 2015) – Jazmine Garcia (SO/Zapata, Texas) of Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) finished fifth, while teammate Elena Oslund (JR/Hendersonville, N.C.) finished sixth in the 10th Annual UIW Fall Invitational sponsored by the University of the Incarnate Word at Live Okay City Park Saturday morning. Winning the Non-Division One Category of the 6K was Midwestern State University with 40 points followed by second-place Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) with 56 points and third-place OLLU with 57 points. They were followed by Trinity University (128), Concordia University-Texas (145), Austin College (161), Southwestern University (167) and Schreiner University (231). Head Coach Stephen Sherman said, "I am very proud of the women for their performance today. I jumped on the women just this week for not being as focused as they should be thus far this season.
