This weekend the Webber Warriors Mens and Womens Cross Country teams competed in the FSU Invite.Published by
The lady warriors started off the hot and very humid Friday evening at 6:20p.m. This week Amber Griffith led the way with a 5k time of 21:32 followed closely by Kathi Whitfield in 21:41. Following the top two finishing women were Rachel Fredrick 25:00, Marly Joseph 26:35 and Amanda Stoll in 28:33. The girls finished 28th out of 29 schools. It was nice to have a team score. We have to keep working plain and simple. On the Mens side at 6:44p.m. the boys got off to a great start. Gabriel Barron led the warriors with a 10k time of 28:44 with teammates Bryan Tumlin Smith 29:29 and David Wright 29:34 in tow. Marcus Corbett and Lucas Feyler finished 4th and 5th respectively the team with a time of 30:31 and 34:33. Our 6th and 7th runners this week were Jordan Clarke 35:58 who accomplished an 8min PR and Vic Karstendiek in 35:59. The men finished 26 out of 30 overall. With some of our athletes having the TRI on Sunday we were not at full strength. We are working hard and conference is around the corner. Keep working warriors it will come.?
