SEATTLE – The California Golden Bears men’s team claimed their first MPSF team Championship since the 1992-93 season on Saturday in Seattle, while the women tied for seventh. This came following a very impressive day one on Friday that saw the Bears capture three individual titles (men’s and women’s long jump and women’s weight throw). On Saturday, senior Jordan Locklear won the men’s mile run championship earlier in the day with a time of 4:04.03, setting the pace for a historical finish at the MPSF Indoor Track & Field Championships for the Bears at Dempsey Indoor Facility. "The staff and I are so impressed with the competitiveness that the team displayed throughout both days,” Director of track & field Tony Sandoval said on Saturday. “We were truly inspired.
