Sherwood's James Crabtree Breaks Course Record With 14:45.5; Jesuit's Chloe Foerster Win Girls Race In 17:01.1 By Doug Binder, DyeStat Editor In the most consequential fall cross country meet in Washington in two years, Jesuit OR of Portland's boys and girls swept team titles at the Nike Hole In The Wall Invitational in Lakewood, Wash. In a clash of three of the top four boys teams in the Northwest region, US#4 Jesuit packed five scorers between 15:02 and 15:54.0 to scored 67 points and defeat Bishop Blanchet of Seattle (117 points) and Franklin of Portland (123). RESULTS | PHOTOS by Phil Yearian Up front, Sherwood OR senior James Crabtree raced to a signature victory with a course record 14:45.5 on the 5,000-meter layout. Charlie North of Franklin nosed ahead Bishop Blanchet's William Schneider to take second but both were timed in 14:54.9. Jesuit's Jacob Nenow was fifth (15:02.0). Meanwhile, the US#7 Jesuit girls were paced by Chloe Foerster's winning effort in 17:01.1. Foerster pulled away over the final 800 meters and won by 12 seconds. Franklin's Kiya Robertson outsprinted Bellarmine Prep's Ella Borsheim to grab second place, 17:13.4 to 17:14.5. Jesuit put six runners in the top 36 and freshman Emma Bennett joined Foerster in the top 10 with her ninth place finish. The Crusaders' five scorers finished between 17:01 and 18:48. Jesuit's 68 points made for a wide victory margin over Tahoma WA (154), Lewis and Clark WA (160) and Sage Creek CA (197).
