Ducks Open Season in SeattlePublished by Casey Johnson/Oregon SID on January 15th, 2016 This Week: Oregon track and field will begin the 2016 indoor season this weekend at the Washington Preview in Seattle, Saturday, Jan. 16 beginning at 9 a.m. at the Dempsey Indoor Facility. The men’s team will begin the indoor campaign as two-time defending champions while the women’s team finished runner-up in 2015 after five straight NCAA Indoor Championships. Coverage: The meet will be streamed on Flotrack.com with a premium subscription. Live results for the meet will also be available. Entries: Although head coach Robert Johnson said the opening weekend would be a “rust-buster” for the Oregon team, there will still be plenty of big names in the field for the Ducks. Jasmine Todd is coming off a long season in 2015 which ended with a silver medal at the IAAF World Championships in the 4x100. She will lead the Oregon women’s sprint crew with Ariana Washington who finished sixth in the 200 last year as a freshman. The women will be represented well on the track all the way up the distances, with NCAA Outdoor 800 Champion Raevyn Rogersentered in the 600 alongside All-American transfer Brooke Feldmeier and a pair of All-Americans in Waverly Neer and Molly Grabill moving down to the mile.
