200 meters - Just outside of top 10, sophomore Keshia Baker ran only twice all year, her best was 24.31 (11th probably) and White ran 24.32 (12th probably), 10th is 24.15 shrared by Kris Costello (1976) and Kelly Blair (1993), both will probably join the list and Baker will probably score at Pac-10 in 2009 (4 finalists graduated).  White at 24.41 was just .14 outside the Pac-10 final.

400 meters -  4th Keshia Baker 53.27, 3rd is Sofie Abildtrup at 52.92.  PAc-10 champion, West Region runner-up, NCAA heat competitor, 11th NCAA indoor.

Third all-time is Ranza Clark (2:01.7 in 1984).

1,500 meters - 4th Nicole Blood 4:14.73, 4th at Pac-10, Sophomore pushes pace but does not have the kick to win big races.  7th Rebekah Noble 4:17.43, won race at Stanford Invite, given opportunity and training will likely break 4:10 if not this year next year.  11th freshman Alexandra Kosinski 4:19.22 at US Junior.  Was sixth at World Juniors and second at US juniors, the only big track championship races she ran well in other than MPSF mile title.  It will be tough to move to move into third all-time or higher with three former national champions and Olympians - Claudette Groenendaal at 4:08.13 is third (1984).

3,000 meter Steeplechase - 1st Claire Michel 10:26.62, freshman set record in big stage of West Regional for 7th (also 7th at P-10) - she has recovered well from stress fracture that slowed her in her senior year of high school.  As part of her deal with UO coaches she swims regularly and runs a little over 20 miles per week.  6th sophomore Brooke Giuffre 10:47.15 - the welcome transfer recovered from injuries by end of season to pr.  At fifth is Carrie Zografos at 10:42.02 (2002)

5,000 meters - 5th Nicole Blood 15:43.82, third at NCAA and 6th in cross country, Pac-10 champion and west region runner-up.  She is NCAA #3 returner in 5k.  Senior to-be transfer Lindsey Sherf is the #2 returner at 5k (15:42.81) should climb onto top 10 list and push Blood if she is healthy. Senior to-be transfer Melissa Grelli ran 16:05.98 indoors last year, also good enough to be put on all-time list. Third all-time is Eryn Forbes at 15:37.01 (1982)

10,000 meters - 6th Keara Sammons 33:54.55, 12th at 2007 NCAA meet, 4th P-10 10k and 8th in 5k.  Stress fracture has slowed her since cross country last year and will keep her out of cross country this year.  Senior to-be transfer Melissa Grelli was 2nd at 2007 NCAA meet (33:01.56 PR) in this event, DNF in 2008 while at Georgetown.  Senior to-be Sherf was 10th at the 2006 NCAA 10k and 4th in 2005.  In 2005 set American Junior record of 32:51.20 for pr while at Harvard.  School record is 32:43.81 by Kathy Hayes (1984), second is by '88 Olympic Marathon Silver Medallist Lisa Martin who ran 33:12.1 in 1983.

400 hurdles - 9th junior Leah Worthen 60.48, has only run this race for a couple of years but is getting better.  11th Freshman Jamesha Youngblood at 60.94 is focused on jumps but may hurdle more next year. Volunteer assistant Kayla Mellott is eighth at 60.13 (2005)

4x100 meters - 46.39, lost Ashley Bridenbeck, but should get better with experience.

4x400 meter relay - 5th 3:37.43, with everyone back except Irie Searcy and Kavina Hall who will be replaced by Noble and Buckman if one of the freshman doesn't improve enough to be on this relay. A healthy Noble will help knock some significant time off last year's best and Buckman is one of the team's fastest 400 meter runners (54.62).  In 2006 Noble contributed to the school's second best team when they ran 3:36.07.  The fourth fastest team ran in 1996, 3:36.79

High Jump -  8th Brianne Thiesen 5-8 3/4 never focused on event.  Jasmine Kelly was ninth in the Pac-10 meet and tied for seventh at the MPSF meet but maxed out at 5-7 this year.  Tenth all-time is Rachel Kriz at 5-8 (2004). The seventh best high jump is Jenny Brogdon at 5-9 1/4 from 2002 and 2003

Pole Vault - 4th Freshman Melissa Gergel vaulted 13-7 indoors and became an all-american with her eighth place finish indoors and outdoors.  Injuries slowed her progress outdoors.  third all-time is Emily Enders at 13-7 3/4 (2006) and then are two of the best current pole vaulters in the country, Becky Holliday at 14-8 (2003) and Nike McEwen at 13-11 1/4 (2003)

Incoming Freshmen Amber Purvis jumped 19-10 1/4 as a Sophomore in high school. Fourth all-time is Jenni Grasley at 20-8 1/2 (1989).

Triple Jump - 2nd Youngblood 41-11 1/4.  3rd at Pac-10 but fouled out at West Regionals.  The freshman transition is always tough.  Incoming freshman Lyndsay Pearson jumped 39-3 as a high school junior. The school record for Oregon was jumped by Sara Jessie with a best of 42-6 (1995). Tenth all-time is Nonglack Somsanith at 39-8 1/2 (1998).

Shot Put -Incoming redshirt junior Rita Santibanez threw 47-10 1/2 at the 2008 Oregon Relays.  Ninth ranked Valerie Sweitzer threw 47-6 1/2 (1996) and tenth is Kelly Kempf at 47-3 1/2 (1991).

Discus - Junior Lucy Cridland threw 162-3 as a sophomore and was close to that best last year.  She scored for the second straight year at the Pac-10 meet but the conference and region is so tough and hard to advance to the NCAA meet.  Tenth best all-time is by Maureen Morrison at 166-9 (1998).
